“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light,
but by making the darkness conscious.” Carl Jung
One of the great contributions to spiritual realization in the past two hundred years has been the discovery of The Shadow. This Dark Avenger is none other than those undigested pieces of emotional and imaginal debris lying at the bottom of our individual and collective psyche. Spiritual teachers and practitioners, presidents, children and adults….all dance with this dark partner. For those brave souls evolving toward wholeness, healing & enlightenment, their work is to bring their Shadow elements into the Light where the Shadow elements can be transformed by love and acceptance into spiritual allies.
This experiential workshop will be on how to transform our individual and collective Shadows. Participants will learn:
* How to recognize and work with The Shadow.
* Techniques for transforming anger, attachment and ig-nor-ance.
* The benefits and limitations of meditation and prayer on The Shadow.
* The Stages of Shadow Consciousness on the spiritual path.
* Gain insight into your own spiritual journey.
* Receive practical tools for personal growth and healing.
This workshop will utilize meditation, art, music and film clips to help us open to and embrace our Shadow elements. Bring note pad and a willingness to work with your personal concerns.
There will be a documentary featuring Joseph Campbell during lunch. A light lunch will be served, but participants my choose to go out to eat.
