An Exploration of Prayer, Meditation, Deity Mysticism, Devotion and Communion with Godhead/Buddha

In this workshop, we’ll see what Eastern spiritual traditions have to say about the necessity of meditation, prayer and devotion on the spiritual path. Participants will explore their relationship with The Divine utilizing meditations and contemplative exercises. We’ll also look at research on levels of Faith Consciousness that will yield insight into the minds of terrorists and suicide bombers as well as mystic saints and sages. Participants will learn:

  • How to intimately commune with The Divine as you understand It.
  • The different types of prayer and levels of Love on the spiritual path.
  • The evolving Stages of Faith Consciousness common to all spiritual paths.
  • Learn the contemplative game, “What Color is Your Jesus?”
  • Gain insight into your own spiritual journey.
  • Receive practical tools for personal growth and healing.

This workshop will utilize meditation, prayer, art, music and film chips to help open our hearts and minds to a greater awakening of Spirit. The purpose is to provide support and insight into one’s innate, always already Basic Goodness and enlightened nature.

There will be a very rare documentary featuring Ram Das and Krishna Das on devotional prayer and chanting during the lunch break. A lite lunch will be provided, but participants my wish to go out to eat.
