“Americans are always asking for the highest teachings. Most of them don’t realize that unless their minds are tamed with mindfulness first, all the talk about Enlightenment will just be empty chatter.” ~ Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche

“In the beginning, meditation is a practice of the self. Later, meditation is a practice that renders transparent the self. And still later, meditation is a practice that opens us until we are but openness itself, embodying what is obviously more real that the self.” ~ Robert Augustus Masters
An Exploration of East/West Healing Principles, Meditation, Evolutionary Spirituality and Cultivating Unconditional Love, Compassion, Joy & Peace in a World Gone Slightly Mad.
This experiential workshop will examine meditation practices and spiritual principles from Eastern derived wisdom traditions that have taken root in American culture over the past 40 years. We’ll look at what those traditions have to say about sanity, love, relationships, compassion and living life to its fullest potential. We’ll also see what Eastern spiritual traditions have to learn from us to bring them “up to speed” with our technocracy and jet-fueled life styles. In this workshop, participants will learn:
- Principles and techniques of life transforming meditations.
- Better understand the workings of mind, Mind and Spirit.
- Evolutionary Spirituality and The Two Truths Doctrine.
- How to navigate the different levels of spiritual growth.
- How to increase one’s Love, Joy, Compassion and Peace.
- How to gain a deeper appreciation of one’s own spiritual journey.
- Receive practical tools for self-growth and healing.
Participants will be introduced to meditation and energy practices as well as art, music and film clips that arouse their open hearts and minds, helping them enliven their daily lives.
There will be a documentary on Sunday featuring American spiritual teachers discussing Evolutionary Spirituality during lunch break. There are restaurants near the workshop, or participants may choose to bring their own lunch.
